073 : Exploration

ITP, 2 half months, 9 weeks and around 39 working days for me and my colleague/babe watching buddy/idiot friend charles (not his real name).

Today is PAYDAY. Goodness so fast collect second paycheck already. And spent so much so fast all thanks to the stupid steamboat recommended by kuan. 30 bucks for one meal is too much of a wallet chomper for a guy with a $20 dollar per day job... ok fine. attachment/intern.

this is my current office desk ! its really bloody dirty and messy. its quite late around 8 plus. was doing OT and stuff. notice my emergency rations on my desk ?

This is another interesting picture of my desk during the day. Apparently my boss wanted me to make the 3D rendering tile colour same as the one infront of the keyboard. Its damn bloody heavy and... strange to have a roof tile infront of you and doing some computer work. This job is seriously not for people who are colour blind, and not for people with a lousy temper.

tally ho !

In a distant land many years ago, when the sun rose from the west and set in the east, there was a little pony called Thalia. She lived with many other ponies and fellow unicorns in the small town Blimy and it was a period of peace and merry making.

Thalia is a very special pony. She had golden hooves with extra polish on them under the assistance of her personal manicurist. Her mane is silky smooth like freshly woven silk, and she had made the effort to comb them everyday, amazingly with her hooves. Thalia's bright and shiny green eyes were those of emeralds, pure and precious, and they even glow in the dark.

However, all these features she had did not brought her to fame and her increased popularity with the pony folk. What truly had made Thalia the Thalia everyone knew was surprising, or not, her leg hair.

You see, ponies born in Blimy had no leg hair. Their bodily fur only extend to the reaches of their hips, if they had hips. From the feet all the way to the thigh area lies nothing but skin and bone. Thalia was indeed an exception. Even the unicorns, who had slightly more leg hair in comparison with the average pony, and more superior in brains and brawns had suffered a serious shock of inferiority complex when they first laid their eye's on Thalia's fantastic legs.

Thalia infact did not like all the attention she received by the pony society. She even noticed how the unicorns had stared at her with envious, almost devouring eyes at her, and her hair. She knew she was special, unique, and she was a outcast. But that's where she got one part wrong.

She's not alone.

This is a story of epic proportions. The story of how a small little pony left her cozy home in search of her fellow breed and her long lost family. Join us as we explore Thalia's journey through Papula, the land of the Ponies in discovering of her heritage and the truth of her leg hair. Will she find her own kind ?

And what devious shadows lurk behind her innocent escapade from Papula to Torkia, Realm of the Sacred Unicorns ? What does the Council 7, the highest order of the Court of Unicorns plan to exploit from Thalia's journey ?

Have you ever asked yourself, how many friends you got ? And out of that number of friends, how many true friends are there ? Think about it for a few moments and continue to read this post.

Well, there you go ! These are only SOME of the definitions of that word. It is notable that if we do follow the dictionary's accurate definition, and with that draw a clear line for who is friend and who is not, that line i feel should need some work. To my knowledge, Japaneses are big on issues regarding whether this particular person is their tomodachi or friends.

Its as if they have a check list for everyone, only ticking their respective boxes for every particular action they did to qualify for a friend position. And when all those boxes are ticked out, only do they qualify as a friend.

Oh boy, what a headache (for me at least). But what i think that really matters is, what does the word friend mean to you ? Or rather, how do you define someone as your "friend" ?

pic 1, ah the dreaded friendster logo.

Friendster ! They say everyone have one. It is a trend right ? Meet more people, get in touch with more people, being informed about their birthdays, so you would not make that special effort to go and remember them yourselves. I am not totally against friendster, rather not even one teeny bit. Its a great idea actually. Use their services, they put ads and monitor you. Pretty good deal i might say. Just go read their Terms of Services and Privacy Policy at the bottom of the page. Enough of digression.

How well do you know of your friends on friendster ? How often do you all keep in touch ? Testimonials ? Viewing of their profiles on a regular basis ? Hmm... I think we get the idea.

On a side note, i do not have a frienster account and do not wish for one, so please stop sending those invites, oh wait.... they are automated...

Now, true friends, after counting how many "real" friends you got, what about true friends ? at this point, the great one is a tad lazy about defining words again, like what's "true" and stuff, so lets get to the gist.

True friends, IN YK'S PERSONAL OPINION, is all about love. Love such that its almost gay. Well, ALMOST. For guy guy, its more of a "HEY BRO" thing, and girls, you get the idea. Yet, we are all too human and we got our own ambitions dreams life job family hobbies dog cat to feed. So when does the thing true friends come in ? All lies in the "FAMILY" part. Not hobbies or any feline thing. I think when you got a true friend, you gotta feel the love for them, just like family.

Having one aint walk in the park too. Takes mainly time, effort and respect. Friends are almost like MAPLE STORY, the more time you spend on it, the more experience you get with them, like bonding of sorts. So once you know you got once, its just like striking toto, you hang on to them like you never hung onto something before. Like fishing your first trout out from the water. Like grabbing the ends of APOLLO 8 and hitch hike a ride round the galaxy. Like that lor.

Friends come and go. Its natural. Nothing one could really do anything about it. Enough of my nonsense and rubbish. Later people. Its really late and the moonshine is burning me real bad.
